I'll be coming home for holiday break on the 20th. in the mean time here is selection of pictures taken for my elements of visual thinking class. i was thinking about the way that architecture and other man-made objects relate to predominate negative space, the sky. here is one an i'll make a cut to the others.

I'm in baltimore.

I'm in EMAC class right now watching "Born into Brothels".
"Can you hear me or do you have a dick in your ear?"

In the morning, whether the suicide watch window is cracked open or left closed, I wake to the sound of the Mount Royal Intermediate students. Their muffled shouting spells and gradeschool giggles are like distant, gentle alarm clocks, nudging me to lift my head from the pillow before drowning in my own drool.

I like it like that.

Thanksgiving break was nice, but not nearly long enough. It was indescribeably good to be back in the river city with Jordan, Jason, Billy, Sean, and all the H-mob hoodlums. Jason and Billy's new house is furnished with a a bumper pool table, so there were many rounds of fun, only they were lacking a proper cue, and subsituted either a broomhandle or mickey mantle baseball bat. Jason and Jordan burned a handful of CDs for me, so I wont be stuck here in Harm City without any new jams. The Biggie and Jay-Z Comission mixtape from DJ Cinema and Dj Mello is a little gem birthed by brooklyn genius. It was nice seeing Sarah again too, though i didn't get the chance to catch up with her much, besides finding out that we were apparently both in NewYawkShitty on the weekend of the 13 & 14th. Imagine if we would've crossed paths. small world.

speaking of which, I knew at least 3 people on the flight returning to baltimore. speaking of 3.

I have about 3 more weeks before going home for the Christmas break. It'll probably be a fairly grueling 3 weeks, as far as the workload goes, but I have a few projects that I'm sorta psyched to work on. I was on my way to develop 3 rolls of film for my final photo project, when i ran into Barry Nemmett, my DrawingII teacher, who was hanging a show in the mainbuilding gallery. I like Barry, but i'd just finished steaming the brocoli and smelled like new joint city, so i wasn't so thrilled to run into him. Nonetheless, he asked if I had gotten an email regarding they new student show they were hanging, and encouraged me to drop what I was doing and go get this 6 panel narrative self portrait piece, to hang in the show. I wasn't quite finished with all 6 pieces, so I hauled ass back home and started working. I'll probably turn them in to him tomorrow, during class.

I'm not really sure what I'm doing here in art school after 3+ years of renouncing art. I'm too indecisive to pick a major, but right now, I'm really diggin on photography, which will hopefully lead to other great undertakings such as pornographyphotography. sike.
